I've been picking at reviews for the next DCAU post, but I'm not sure whether to do Shadow of the Bat or all the cameo appearances in one post. And if I do the latter, do I include coverage of Harvey's roles in Strange Secret of Bruce Wayne, Almost Got 'Im, and/or Trial, or do I review those separately? Mainly, I just really want to plow ahead to Second Chance and the next comics, but I can't do that without covering the other stuff first. Argh, damn my intention to cover all of DCAU Harvey stuff chronologically! I just want to get to Ty Templeton's comics already, is that too much to ask?!
I've also been working on several comics reviews, such as Matt Wagner's Faces and Rucka and Lark's Gotham Central: Half a Life, as well as other rogue-centric stories such as The Mud Pack (Clayfaces, with a focus on Basil Karlo), Run, Riddler, Run (a brilliant take on Eddie wrapped up in an awkward socially-conscious plot line), and Penguin Triumphant (best Penguin story ever?). Oh, and Elseworlds! There are several Harvey Elseworlds I want to do, such as Batman: Reign of Terror (Batman in the French Revolution versus "Hervé Deinte"), Citizen Wayne (which I can't describe without spoilers), and Batman: Two Faces (Harvey and Bruce in a neat twist on Jekyll and Hyde). Also, Batman: Detective No. 27, the only appearance of Hugo Strange in an Elseworlds title, with features a twist that predates something which Grant Morrison famously did years later.
On top of all that, I'm also finally getting back to work on the Dent novel. This next chapter is proving to be even more challenging than the first, because I'm delving into some pretty dark and uncomfortable areas, but I know it'll pay off.
So yeah, I have tons of options, and little drive to do any at present. We're also preparing to do a lot of big important stuff here IRL, so I'm sure the stress of that is weighing on me. I appreciate everyone's patience, and if you have any requests for anything (from the above listed or anything else), feel free to let me know in the comments. Who knows, maybe I just need a prompt from you guys to get me going.
For now, I'll leave you with just one image from World's Finest Online's collection of hilarious B:TAS logo and graphics designs (which look like something out of a coloring book):
